Going trick-or-treating with my daughters in St. Louis. Three year old is dressed as Little Orphan Annie and two year old is her dog Sandy.
It is an absolutely beautiful day here in St. Louis. It’s so warm it’s hard to believe that it’s almost November.

Just landed in St. Louis and headed downtown to the Hilton. Riding the St. Louis Metrolink for the first time.
On the way to work today I saw a McCain-Palin lawn sign that someone had spray painted a big red X through.
Darn it, my Tivo deleted all the episodes of Mad Men from September. I hate it when that happens!

BBC article on MovieMobz - part social network, part digital content aggregator, the effort makes the best of the medium of digital cinema.
“High School Musical 3” made $82 million worldwide in its opening weekend. I feel rather old in realizing I don’t understand why it’s a hit.
The airport in Kona is completely outdoors - no jetways and just little tiny huts for gates. Guess it doesn’t rain here that often.
Have to head home from Hawai’i today. End of vacation depression beginning to set in.
Is it possible to become addicted to Mai Tais in Hawaii? If so, I may be in trouble.
On my way to the other side of Hawaii to see some of the active volcanoes. Three hour drive from Kona and back again.
At Don The Beachcomber in Kona tasting the Mai Tai sampler. These things are delicious, but wickidly intoxicating.
Enjoying the warm Hawaiian sun in Kona. The Big Island is so beautiful I may never want to leave.
Sitting next to Ina Jaffe, the NPR reporter, on my connecting flight from Denver to Los Angeles. She’s covering the presidential race.
“Bolt” is a great film. Don’t know how it would be in 2D, but in 3D it was perfect. The movie will be a huge hit for Disney.
About to see the screening of Disney’s “Bolt” at ShowEast. It’s in 3D so it’s like I’m actually there! Oh wait, I am actually there.
Busy productive day at ShowEast. Now attending the screening of “Soul Men”.
Attending the ShowEast panel “Key Challenges for Digital Cinema Deployment on a Worldwide Scale”. I bet someone onstage faults financing.
The DTS Digital Cinema suite looks amazing! Our team did an incredible job. If you are at ShowEast visit us in Suite K.
Take away from first day at ShowEast - digital cinema is lagging behind in Latin America. Still setting up DTS suite. Looks good so far.
ShowEast has kicked off with the international day. Morning panels are focused on the Latin American market. D-cinema is stalling there.
A lot of questions from Latin American exhibitors about whether studios would consider loosening up the DCI specs to make equipment cheaper.
Made it to Orlando for ShowEast after 10 hours of traveling. My luggage was the first bag to arrive at baggage claim. Things are looking up.
Made it to Denver but it is looking highly improbable that I make it on this flight to Orlando.
Power went out in my house and I missed my flight to Orlando. Flying to Denver in hopes of getting the only connecting flight on standby.
I totally made the Denver to Orlando flight! Got the last seat given away to a standby passenger. Lucky! ShowEast here I come.
After two months of hard work we are 100% ready here at DTS for ShowEast - a whole day early. Makes me wonder if I’m forgetting something.
Just saw a spider the size of a softball in my garage. No joke! Decided I can park on the street for the next few months until it moves out.
The Dodgers are presently getting schooled by the Phillies. Darn!

Someone from Esquire just contacted me through Facebook to see if they could use an interview I did with Paul Newman back in 2002.
Saw “Body of Lies” last night. It was a pretty good popcorn flick, but as most of Ridley Scott’s movies lately, very formulaic.
What does it say about the world when “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” makes $29 million to top the box office in its opening weekend?
At the grand opening of The Coop, an indoor children’s playground in Studio City and the brain child of Lucinda Gould-Lent.
Taking my daughters to get haircuts. Lollicuts is packed today. All the girls want is the lollipop they always get at the end.
I can’t believe the Dodgers are going to win two playoff games in a row. (Though the game isn’t over yet, so maybe I shouldn’t jinx it.)
