Somehow I caught a terrible cold in Amsterdam at Cinema Expo… or was it on the flight back to Los Angeles? I don’t know but it’s not fun!

British Airways lost my luggage. Can’t wait to never fly them again. Their slogan shouild be, “Thanks for your money, now bend over!”
British Airways booked such a short layover for me at London Heathrow there was no way I could make the connecting flight to Los Angeles.
At Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam where the British Airways staff is doing their best to prove how unskilled and inefficient they are.
And thus the long journey home from Cinema Expo in Amsterdam begins. Off to the airport now. Will be in Los Angeles in … 18 hours!
Saw “Wanted” at Cinema Expo earlier today. It’s a violent movie, but I highly recommend it. I think it will get great word of mouth.
I’ve noticed that at these cinema exhibition trade shows like Cinema Expo you can really tell who the alcohilics are.
Saw “Wall-E” this evening at Cinema Expo. It was quite good, despite the fact that it had almost no dialogue. Audience here enjoyed it.
“Pineapple Express” was awful. Audience fled the screening at Cinema Expo. It’s a comedy and audience was mostly foreign, but still.
If the turnout at the Sony Pictures party at Cinema Expo is an indication to interest in “Pineapple Express”, the movie may be in trouble.
Sony should hand out joints before the screening of “Pineapple Express”. It fits the theme and is legal in Amsterdam. Audience will love it!
“Tropic Thunder” was funny in parts and Robert Downey, Jr. was fantastic, but if you’ve seen the trailer, you’ve seen the movie.
Jeffrey Katzenberg is now introducing clips of “Monsters vs Aliens” at Cinema Expo.
Just saw the teaser trailer for J.J. Abrams version of “Star Trek” at Cinema Expo. It was pretty good and audience seemed to enjoy it.
Clips from “Madagascar 2” looked great and were quite funny. Dreamworks Animation may have a hit on its hands.
Jeffrey Katzenberg is introducing the clip real of “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa” at Cinema Expo in Amsterdam.
Nielsen’s research found that 48% of those polled didn’t know the movie they were seeing was offered in 3-D (when 3-D version was offered).
Cinema Expo seminars have begun in earnest. Apparently event digital cinema is the next big thing… Again!
Holland just lost to Russia and was eliminated from whatever soccer cup they were playing for. Suddenly, a lot of upset Dutch are about.
It took 18 hours, but I finally made it to the hotel in Amsterdam. And just in time for the soccer match - Holland vs. Russia!
Headed into central Amsterdam to watch the soccer match. Last time I saw this many people wearing orange I was in Holland. Oh wait…
What do you think the chances of my running into @londonfilmgeek or @sizemore while stuck at Heathrow for my connecting flight?
British Airways flight landed an hour late so missed my connection to Amsterdam. I’m in Heathrow’s Terminal 5 for the next three hours.
Just ran into producers Paul Brooks and Scott Niemeyer of Gold Circle Films at LAX. We’re on the same flight to London this evening.
Headed to the airport to catch a flight to Amsterdam for Cinema Expo. Looking forward to a busy trade show. http://www.cinemaexpo.com
Wish I were attending Silver Docs with @karinalongworth and @RabbiReport. http://silverdocs.com/
Okay, now they have the real Springsteen playing “Thunder Road” at Tim Russert’s funeral.
Some guy (have no idea who) is playing Springsteen’s “Born To Run” at Tim Russert’s memorial service right now. Out of context = rather odd.
Met with the CEO of Rain Network this morning. They are doing some interesting stuff with d-cinema in Brasil: http://www.rain.com.br
Nobody said they liked the Brightkite to Twitter updates, but @north385com and @cadiacdisaster weren’t fond of them so I turned them off!
By end of year Justice Department will mandate all movie theatres provide some form of captioning for all showings of movies on all screens.
Seems like the automated Brightkite messages are not appreciated by everyone. Can I get a show of hands as to who likes and who hates them?
I am dropping a ton of followers lately. Could it be my use of Brightkite to update Twitter? What’s going on?
Presently at the National Association of Theatre Owners’ review meeting for their digital cinema specifications document.
