Picked up registration for ShowCanada (finally) and now at Disney presentation for “Up” and “The Proposal”.
Finally was able to get off the plane in Denver to make connecting flight to Montreal by mere seconds. I bet my luggage won’t make it.
Think I’m going to miss connecting flight to Montreal because there are no free gates at the Denver airport to let us off the first flight.
Sure enough my bag didn’t make the flight to Montreal. It will arrive on the same flight tomorrow - 36 hours from now. Oh joy.
Headed to Show Canada in Montreal. My flight is only half full. I wonder if people aren’t traveling due to the swine flu.
My 4-year-old really is learning something at preschool. She just dropped an “F___ You” bomb and claims some kid at school was saying it.
National Lampoon tells you how to interview celebrities with your shirt off. Don’t try this at home. - http://bit.ly/arQHB
It’s amazing that the Los Angeles Dodgers have already won 11 games. Now if they can just win 90 more…
Screenwriter Paul Laverty and I were emailing back and forth yesterday and he told me his film “Looking For Eric” will be in Cannes!
The Cannes Film Festival has announced their official selections for this year’s eveny. - http://bit.ly/Ah8Pf
The Cure played for at least 2.5 hours last night at Coachella. Despite all their past hits I hardly recognized any songs. Kinda mediocre.
Susan Boyle would never be allowed on “American Idol”. Her performance on “Britains Got Talent” makes for terrific TV. - http://bit.ly/jZ8Yo
I got no cell service at Coachella yesterday. Saw Peter Bjorn and John (better than expected) and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (who were great).
http://twitpic.com/3m13w - Paolo Nutini plays some new songs @Coachella showing off how talented a performer he is.
Okkervil River dressed for Seattle, performed in the desert at Coachella. They sounded good… and sweaty. Cell service is crap here!
Fleet Foxes just wrapped their mellow set at Coachella. If you closed your eyes you were transported instantly to 1968.
Band of Horses was absolutely brilliant. Don’t know what the deal is with all these Coechella bands with beards, but at least they’re good.
Glasvegas’ Coachella set was canceled due to a band member’s illness. TV On The Radio was surprisingly less than mediocre.
Michael Franti & Spearhead have the crowd jumping to reggea in front of the main stage at Coachella. They’re great.
Between Paul McCartney and Leonard Cohen I think Coachella set a record for number of festival goers over the age of 55 last night.
Paul McCartney put on a two hour show @Coachella last night. I think he played every tune in the Beatles’ song book.
Leonard Cohen put on a solid show @Coachella last night. Beirut was unbelievably brilliant. A really great band.
The Ting Tings performed an amazing set in the Sahara tent at Coachella. Franz Ferdinand sounded great on the mainstage as the sun set.
It took 3 hours to drive to Indio for Coachella and 3 hours to park the car and walk in. Frustrating and absurd. Crappy cell service too!
http://twitpic.com/3k2jo - Joss Stone performed a soulful set @Coachella that was a real crowd pleaser.
It took three hours to drive out to the desert in Indio for the Coachella Music & Arts Festival. But at least I made it.
That every year 140,000 people come to Coachella and that every year they seem to handle be surprised by the traffic is completely idiotic.

PromoTracks from artists performing at the festival. Use it to make a nice playlist for your trek down to the desert.
I was just told I have to wait an hour for my 10:00 AM appointment at the passpoert office. No wonder they work behind bullet proof glass!
Waited more than the designated hour to pick up my passport at the passport office and it isn’t ready. They can’t tell me when it will be.
Back at the passport office. If I don’t leave with a passport, I’ll have to cancel the large check I just wrote the govt to pay my taxes.
I’m finally signing up for a Blip.fm account. Yet another social network app to contend with… or to forget about after three weeks.
I’m really looking forward to seeing Airborne Toxic Event perform live at Coachella this weekend. ♫ http://blip.fm/~4a0x5
The set times for this weekend’s @Coachella music festival have been announced! http://bit.ly/nBGiE

Leave it to the U.S. Govt that by the time they finally issue you a passport all you want to do is change your citizenship.
I’m sure my taxes will be audited for saying this but, there must be a law the federal govt has to hire people with an IQ lower than 75.
Me: “When will my passport be ready?” Woman behind bullet proof glass at passport office: “Almost.” Me: “what time?” Woman: “Today.”

Passport office just asked if I have anything other than social security card, driver’s license and old passport to prove identity. Um, no!
As a child I used to love spring break. As an adult with two toddlers in preschool… not so much.
Apparently I didn’t submit enough documentation to the U.S. Govt for them top issue me a passport. Have to make a third trip. I hate them.

Went to Muvico’s new 14-plex out in Thousand Oaks, CA to see “Monsters vs. Aliens”. The theater is amazing.

We’re going to have some exciting news to report over at Celluloid Junkie (@celluloidjunkie) very shortly. Stay tuned!
If I go missing make sure to check for me at the Los Angeles Passport Agency where the State Department has had me captive all day.
I am finally starting to contact all the old acquaintances I’ve been meaning to get back in touch with for so long now.
Trade shows like ShoWest are great and all, but catching up on the backlog of work the week after is never much fun.
